The club is expected to make a move for a defensive midfielder in January, with Douglas Luiz emerging as a prime target. Despite a potential fee of around €60 million, Aston Villa's manager Unai Emery may be reluctant to let go of the midfielder as the team vies for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
