The latest deadline for campaigns and committees to disclose donors has offered a revealing glimpse into the major contributors for the 2024 elections. This election is anticipated to be one of the most expensive in history, and the disclosed donations shed light on the significant sums backing various candidates and causes.

Notable Contributions

Jeffrey Katzenberg, the campaign co-chair of Joe Biden's campaign, made a substantial contribution of $1 million to the FF PAC, which stands for Future Forward. This independent entity is a key supporter of the president's re-election bid and recently made headlines with its plan to invest $250 million in advertising in battleground states. Sheryl Sandberg, former Meta executive, also made a noteworthy contribution of $500,059 to Future Forward through an in-kind donation of stock. Other prominent donors to Future Forward include Harry Sloan of Golden Eagle Acquisition, who contributed $100,000, and Jeff Worthe, a Los Angeles developer, who donated $1,000,000.

Support for Biden Campaign

Prior to Joe Biden's fundraising trip to Los Angeles, several well-known figures made significant contributions to the Biden Victory Fund. Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw each contributed the maximum amount of $929,600. Additionally, individuals such as J.J. Abrams, Katie McGrath, Greg Berlanti, Chris Meladandri, Skip Paul, Rick Caruso, Jim Gianopulos, Shonda Rhimes, Ted Boutrous, and Bryan Lourd also made substantial donations to support the Biden campaign.

Contributions to Trump's Support

Notably, the super PAC supporting former President Donald Trump, MAGA Inc., received substantial contributions, including $5.25 million from Linda McMahon and $1 million from Los Angeles developer Geoff Palmer.

Senate Race Backing

High-dollar contributions have also been directed toward the race for the Senate. Rupert Murdoch contributed $2 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, while the Senate Majority PAC received significant contributions from notable figures such as J.J. Abrams, Katie McGrath, Steven Spielberg, and Kate Capshaw.

Super PACs supporting potential presidential candidates have also garnered substantial support. Additionally, a super PAC supporting Chris Christie's former presidential campaign received contributions from Tyler Perry, Barry Diller, and attorney Dan Webb.
